Maple tried hard to work but with the thought of Ren coming to work with her, time and time again she felt her concentration slip up. She knew why it made her feel nervous. She'd NEVER been courted like him before and from knowing Reox's courtship of Ibrixses she knew the other would be just as relentless. She just didn't know if she could outlast that persistence AND accomplish her goals simultaneously.

Ren; if anything would be WORSE than Reox; Reox had taken a more...subtle approach with Ibrixses, Ren if anythign would probably be more direct.

Indeed she did Rene was back two days later knocking on her doo, instead of his usual attire of a smart black pants and a shirt with a long jacket he wore some tight dark blue jeans a black T-shirt and a white lab coat over the to[p; he looked COMPLEATLY different from what Maple was used to.

Maple ignored him when he came in at first, she was alongside a MASSIVE Gyarados that was a third bigger than its normal size and stature. She fed it, scratched its scales clean of muck and dirt and when it finally dived back into the massive lake she took notes. She didn't look up at him but greeted him, "Hello, Ren. This is a bit earlier than I expected of you to be coming."

"I got approvel a lot quicker than I expected too" He said as he stared at the gyarados and whistled "Hes huge, wonder what he ate to be that big" He said with a grin.

"If you wish to know the truth, I raised him over the span of 13 years. Gyarados was my starter; I began as a scientist and Pokemon studying a Pokemon that was considered worthless to all to find worth in the bond between trainer and Pokemon - MY research, Ren. You'd best learn it quick if you are to aid me in this."

Ren smiled at that I read your reserch I know what your doing, you know it was kinda easy considering the chip you gave me before" He pointed out; he had read through it and a lot fo it interested him.

"Oh its protective instinct is rivaled, hell hath no fury like Tyranitar, especilly Reox's" he said with a sigh "His pokemon wrecked most of Dodge city.

Ren grinned "Relax I have no intention of going anywhere near your gyrados I breffer not being eaten" He said with a chuckle.

If I am not correct according to your record you have the education but no experience, went straight into inheriting the Gym and later, a position amongst the Elite Four. I've been in this circle for most of my life so watch and learn," Maple sounded pretty confident and there was no reason for her not to be, this was her medium, her prime. She knew how things go and she ran her lab and research efficiently.

Maple had a point there; he had the education but not the experiance, he simply nodded, ready to follow her every order as competently as possible' he;d make sure he was a good assistiant.

"I've have a top secret project that been approved in both design and funding that is going to BLOW the top off Pokemon training here in Terra. Unfortunately I am a REAL lousy mechanic so I can DESIGN it but can't build it." ^_^;;

"Oh you have the blueprints," she said with a brilliant smile, "Encrypted blueprints. Never thought to check through that research for coding did you? Years ago when we met the first time you told me there might come a time I would need to protect my work, that I was far too honest with it. Well guess what I took your advice and I learned to encrypt and decrypt as well as hacking. I got smart and followed your advice but I guess it went over your head that I had gotten so far ahead to actually implement it, it was in case that chip accidentally fell out of your hands or Mikani's."

Ren smirked at that "Ah so THATS what those encrypted filed were!" He said with a chuckle "I noticed them but I didn't have the means to decode them while I was on the run with my brother, so I left them as they were" He admitted; its not like he carried a laptop for hacking device around with him.

"It was the prototype design for the newest feature and application for the Pokedex and Pokemon Storage system. As you know I care for trainer's Pokemon while they don't have their Pokemon with them well I came up with a way for a trainer to be able to have six "stand-by" Pokemon alongside their team when they travel; making trainers able to carry a total of 12 Pokemon once I get this up and running. The way it functions is the stand-by Pokemon are stored as Data on a chip that trainers will have installed on their Pokedexes. They will be ready to be switched out at any time for a team Pokemon meaning its like the trainer really isn't separated at all. These stand-by Pokemon can be "on-hand" at any times. The only downfall is you can only change which Pokemon are on stand-by through the Pokemon Storage System at Pokemon Centers.

Ren listened to this and smield "Thats brilliant!" He said with a wide smile; something like that would make thigns a lot easier for soem trainers when they wer eyup in the mountions and wanted to switch pokemon for training instead of trudging back to a Pokemon centre.

"I thought so, it allows a lot of quality in relationships and training between more Pokemon and their trainer. I figured it would be a great aid to trainers because legally they can carry more than the standard six. Its unfortunate that my design can't allow MORE but the number of Pokemon that chip can hold is only six."
