| Ibrixses was not one to normally been shocked, that performance had been horrid, most commanders would have come to the opposite judgment. Her Pokemon did a great job considering the circumstances but she'd not adapted so well as a trainer. It didn't seem like she'd be able to slip out after all. She wordlessly returned Gengar and Gardevoir, she'd praise them later when one was told to leave you did just that and quickly.
Her MOTHER had made that, her mother was a genius but she never seen it make something that bad. What had SHE done? Her mother had scientific ambition that drove EVERYTHING between her and Tranqua. Her mother was a devoted scientist and she'd easily place the world under the domination of a tyrant if she could get her experimental material and funding for her own endeavors. It seemed that an experiment struck gold if her prized Pokemon could barely dent this mystery Pokemon.
Ibrixses hadn't been one to join for any particular personal reason, her rise through Tranqua had been swift. Her mother was a scientist of great intellectual influence and because she was unable to battle well Ibrixses had been brought into the fold of things to protect her mother's research initially. Later she'd been safely mired into it and move through the ranks, making up for her mother's incompetence when it came to battle.
She was concerned though, she had jeopardized her Gym Leader status and her outside life when she'd been involved with the Gym Leader Jag and the Elemental Cave collapse. She'd be even MORE involved in instigating a challenge against a trainer, she'd have to disguise herself BETTER then before. Inwardly she could not reject an order but she was not eager to turn her fury against another trainer for Tranqua's benefit.
She murmured, "Understood," and departed, she was mired in TOO DEEP to escape and she couldn't back out because she had things to lose if she angered the wrong people. She didn't want to try things with this new leader and she hadn't wanted to try it with the previous one either. She just didn't know what they would do if she was non-compliant and she couldn't risk finding out the hard way. | |
