| Alex, had been traveling for a while. Zepheon beside him he had heard of a organization that improved the power of trainers. Zepheon had a bad feeling about this all though. A Tranqua admin stood outside guarding the entrance to the testing exams, he had seen Alex and smirked "Password.... kid" Alex nodded "Power... to Tranqua" The Grunt let him in where he looked to see several members, most appeared to have come here because Tranqua had destroyed there homes and they came here in hopes of having a place to live. It was a horrid sight for the weak stomach... but this was the first phase of moving up.
Another grunt then stood on top of a stack of crates and yelled out "Now listen here... some of you are going to make it, some of you will not, this being the first test area... you must pass. You will spend a two to three days here, going through test and processes of elimination. If you are eliminated you will be escorted out of the area.
Alex looked at Zepheon and sighed, "This sounds tough, but I have no doubt in our abilities"

| A boy stood off to the side, his gaze seeming to be avoiding the group of new 'recruits'. On his left, his Septie stood; all the flowers on its body were closed in their buds as the vines swayed or twitched impatiently while its red eye scanned the very slowly expanding crowd. On his right a flygon stood, looking a little uncomfortable as the boy absently stroked its neck. All three of them seemed to glance up at the sound of a new comer's voice. The blue haired boy brushed his bangs away from his left eye which was sort of grey with a spiraled shutter that could expand and dilate like a pupil. A red light flashed around it moving in a circle that seemed to make it look like something turned as the shutter moved, expanding and dilating as it seemed to focus on Alex and then his Zepheon. It was hard to explain just how it worked but he quickly knew the pokemon's level, most moves and type. The moves which this eye could pick up were only the ones that could be learned by the pokemon without the help of technical machines. As for stats, that wasn't something it could efficiently pick up either. It made him jump as a hand was placed somewhat roughly on his shoulder and he looked back to see another grunt, naturally lower than him, leaning rather closely. "Corelle, you can have the short black haired kid." He chuckled and pulled away, sauntering off. Corelle watched him leave with a raised eye brow, pulling his gloved hand away from the flygon as the pokemon seemed to relax. It seemed the other no longer held any interest in him and had no intention of looking back so he turned back to where Alex was ad sighed, a little irritably. "Uch just a little kid, how annoying." He muttered, folding his arms. Septie growled softly from beside him. He glanced back at the grunt who had spoken to him just moments ago and was over talking to some other grunts. "How they like making me work" Septie hissed quietly and Corelle looked down at him. "Jealous?" he smirked. "Of course they are." | |

| Alex then ran through the crowd to get a better view.Only to see a fleet of Porygon, each with a eerie glowing purple. They then grabbed Alex and his Zepheon with a psychic attack as he was teleported to his battle zone. He along with several other were sent into corelle's zone. Alex looked around confused. "Where are we, the room was dark and pitch black. He couldnt see a thing.
(its up to you to describe your zone for the new recruits your responsible for)
Zepheon hissed, and then looked around in a frantic way, Zepheon hated the dark a lot.

| Corelle glanced at flygon and it lowered itself while Corelle mounted him and called Septie back into its pokeball before the flygon opened its wings and flew towards the porygons after the crowd. The group of pokemon only just managed to teleport them before the dragon pokemon barreled right through them. The flygon flapped its wings, soaring over the crowd of disorientated recruits. They wouldn't be able to see him but they'd certainly feel the strong gust over their heads. Though they couldn't see anything there seemed to be an awful pungent smell filling the air, no matter how you waved your hands or whatever else you could the smell was too dense to sway at all. from somewhere near the back of the group Corelle could here someone retching and some disgusted sounds from those around them. Flygon let out a loud cry as the course lightened to reveal a sort of forest-like area but the plants were strange and many looked a little unhealthy. Most of the ground was muddy and every now and then it would bubble. The flygon landed on the ground on a circular grassy patch and Corelle pressed his knees against the flygon and lifted himself higher on it. "The first thing you should know about my course," He announced in a loud and clear voice, the awful stench didn't seem to bother him or the flygon. "is that you're not lucky to have this as your trial." He made a large motion of his arm as he gestured to the lake of sludge that seemed to cover everything. "If you're careful you will only have muddy shoes, the true poison of this lake is once it gets deep. There are paths of ground under the sludge that make it shallower where you won't be affected by the corrosive poison, but if you make a wrong step you may fall into the sludge since the sides are steep. That is, if you're not dragged in." Corelle moved his right hand to cover his eye and the red light flashed in the visible artificial eye and a light light shone from it as the shutters adjusted again while a map was projected showing the forest like area and two red flashing dots, one at the top and one at the bottom. The bottom one glowed first. "This is where you are," the one at the top lit up next. "You need to get here alive. Remember this." For a second several green lines appeared on the map snaking through the forest towards the red dot, many tangling together but only one reached to the dot. It only lasted for a second at the most though, even if you'd blinked you might have missed it. After that it vanished and Corelle took his hand away from his other eye and looked down at the group again, seemingly glaring at them. "Flying above the course is not permitted, there is a high penalty if it happens." Flygon turned to face the course and leaned down to pick up a stick from the ground, making Corelle slide forwards a little despite his attempts to hold himself back, and gave it to its trainer. Holding stick back over his shoulder for a moment he threw it into the air over the course and from somewhere on the ground a black thing came flying out and opened into a net, knocking the stick aside with strong force into the deep sludge. "This collar is all that would allow you to travel above it." He said, taping a finger on a metal collar around the flygon's neck. "That is all I will tell you." He said, and with that the flygon took off into the air and dove into the trees, vanishing from sight. | |

| Alex frowned at the smell, "Hmm sounds simple enough... I simply need to be able to see where the poison is and where it isnt..." He tossed out a pokeball. Meteki use Barrier to keep us safe from the poison then use Future sight to tell us where the poison spots are..." Meteki lead the way, and began to note which spots were hazardous and which were not. He followed his pokemon faithfully and happily feeling as though that task was not hard at all. So it seemed, Zepheon slowly but cautiosly followed his trainers path, the fact that he was a flying type, and this place was a no fly zone made him feel extremely out of place. | |

| Corelle had come to a stop in the forest and sat on a thicker limb of one of the branches of a somewhat decaying tree. Septie stood on the branch beside him with its wrapped around the branch to stop it from falling off, while flygon stood underneath them. He looked over at Septie and motioned for the poison pokemon to move to the ground, which it did without question while Corelle projected the map again. There were now red dots spread out around the map, this was sensing heat so they couldn't be entirely accurate. However, the three of them knew the course very well and Corelle knew Septie wouldn't have any trouble finding them. "When you know their whereabouts go and intervene, I don't have the patience for those with little skill." He said simply. Septie looked at the map carefully, making sure to memorize the red dots carefully and their direction before hurrying off through the forest. The map vanished again and Corelle looked down at Flygon. "I suppose I can find something for you to do as well. We'll need to move deeper though." He said, sliding down from the branch and landing on the pokemon's back. They took off, flying above the forest since it was much easier than swerving around trees. He could already here shouts from those who were not prepared for this challenge and would sink slowly into the thick mud because they'd stepped off the trail or a muk or grimer had pulled or knocked them in.
There was a splash as a huge ball of sludge landed directly in front of Alex, the toxic substance spraying up against the protective field as Septie's gunk shot landed right in front of him. It hadn't actually been aimed to hit him. The weight of it seemed to make the path under him shudder. Septie stood a few feet off to Alex's right where it was actually too deep for any trainer to stand. All of it's flowers were in full bloom from the exposure to the toxic environment, even that terribly lethal flower on its head. Though the pokemon generally never looked happy it was glaring at Alex.

| Alex squirmed at the sight, as he slowly turned to septie. "Meteki, quickly find the next best possible step...." Since Septie was there the future could now take several directions, and Meteki had to look through all of them. "Zepheon use Whirlwind!" in a attempt to push septie away from them Zepheon created powerful gust of wind that would attempted to blow the pokemon away. Alex then shifted his attention on the slightly scared and frustrated Meteki, "Its ok little guy, all you have to do is focus on survival" Meteki then nodded, and then began to dash avoiding the poison spots, he had made the mistake of running into one of the spots but used his psychic attack to keep Alex and Zepheon from falling into it. He held them up and pushed them back into the safe zone. Alex then took the safe path. They were anxious to get away from there pursuer. | |

| Corelle landed with flygon, and slid off its back. "We won't do anything yet, I suppose they can at least have a chance. You can do as you please but be careful with that collar, I'll be back in a little while I'm going to check on... 'the finish'. I'll call you if I have any trouble." Trouble meant electric type pokemon most of the time, flygon knew those were dangerous for Corelle and would certainly be listening for any calls from his trainer. It acknowledge him with an inclination of its head and Corelle set off.
Septie narrowed its eye, the purple X on its stomach glowed as a focused wave of dark energy pushed through the gust of wind and towards the trainer an his pokemon. It seemed barely hindered by the others' attack, its level was less than half of the septie's. Though, it seemed satisfied with the somewhat frantic movements of the trainer and pokemon and simply watched them from where it stood in the sludge. Deciding to return to the boy later it turned away and continued on its search for more trainers to victimize.
Corelle stopped at the edge of an enormous pool of sludge and looked down into it, squatting at the side. He sighed. "So beautiful," He murmured as the sludge seemed to quiver. "Some day I'll work hard enough for you to be mine."

| Alex had ordered his meteki to slow down. They had ran into a few grimer but did not fear as Meteki has super effective attacks to use on them "Zepheon use razor wind on those trees over there and cut them down, lets try to take a short cut...or atleast get some higher ground to see things..." Zepheon cut down the tree, and made it fall, as Alex hastily stood on the stump, it was not high enough to where the turrets could see him but it was high enough to give him a better view. | |

| The weight of the fallen tree made the ground shake again, but more prominently. In a few places it sounded like it may have split and it seemed that some other trees were ready to fall around them but didn't. A net shot right over Alex's head, triggered by the movement. The fallen tree moved violently as several grimers shoved it, attempting to push it into the deep sludge.
Corelle frowned as the ground vibrated slightly and the pool before him shifted as if uncomfortable. Looking back over his shoulder as he stood up, wondering what that might have been. The tremor wasn't strong enough to have been flygon so he knew the pokemon hadn't acted without him, but it was possible that some of the paths had been broken. If the one he'd used previously was among those then the map he'd shown previously was already useless. "Grimer, show me where the ground is solid." He said firmly, in response several purple lumps formed at the surface of the sludge.
Septie had already found another to patronize, this one had foolishly tried to move closer to where he was thinking he was standing on solid ground and fell right through. The trainer made some satisfying noises of anguish as they were slowly dragged down into the stinking lake. There was a crash from the direction which he'd come and he turned back, frowning... more than usual. He moved back in that general direction but not straight towards Alex, and began looking for whatever had made the loud noise. There was an obvious commotion from a group of grimers that he could hear, which was probably where it had come from.
Corelle slowed to a stop as he heard the familiar cry of his flygon, it seemed the pokemon had come to meet him half way, knowing that he would be wanting to know what had made the noise. As flygon landed in front of him it let out another cry that made Corelle frown again. "A net? Tch." He jumped onto flygon's back and they took off above the trees, it wasn't too hard to find the fallen tree... Along with that boy. The main reason he hadn't been too put off with the grunts already wanting to simply give him that boy was that he hadn't actually thought he'd last very long. He thought for a moment before pointing at one of the standing trees. "Fly lower, and then intervene." He said simply. Flygon did as it was told, flying lower near the tree which its trainer had pointed to, letting Corelle jump off first. Corelle landed nimbly on one of the branches in a squatting position, looking down at the ground as his other pokemon passed under him. "Septie, don't go any farther." He said simply. The pokemon stopped and looked up at Corelle a moment and then back in the direction he'd been going, but didn't not move.
Flygon didn't go much closer but the pressure from the beating of its wings still caused a disturbance in the thick substance covering the course. A ball of light formed at its mouth as it prepared to aim a hyper beam at the fallen tree, waiting only a few moments for the grimers to move before using it. The hyper beam was a rather marvelous sight simply the way it was executed, its appearance was more fitting to a competition move created more for show but it was powerful nonetheless and sent bits of wood and sludge flying before flygon landed where the ground was still solid and looked in the direction which Corelle was in somewhat expectantly as if it had no intention of doing anything else without Corelle's direct orders.

| Alex heard a giant explosion as the beam made contact with the tree. He sighed and let out a scream, this was his attempt at a manly scream in hopes of releasing the stress the area had put on him.
Meteki yawned, feeling slightly tired using future sight constantly put a strain on him. "zephe" The the wing pokemon said as he looked at his trainer then at meteki. "Ok Meteki return" He then tossed a pokeball down and out came a ice like pokemon "Liceaperd I need you to aim your ice beam at the ground and make a sturdy path for us to stand on, or at the least let me ride on your back and you freeze everything you touch..."
Liceaperd growled at his trainer. He never did have much respect for him in the first place. "aperd.." He turned his head as he began to walk away, he could not help the fact that everything he touched turned into solid ice, leaving a safe path for Alex to walk on, but this had been troublesome since Liceaperd would take the long way there not following the path at all.

| Flygon turned its gaze away from Corelle and back to Alex when the boy screamed and tilted its head to the side slightly as it watched him walk off along the ice which was being made by the shifted pokemon instead of the others' future sight. The beginnings of a flame seemed to form at its mouth, ready to use fire blast if Corelle wished. It was sort of an automatic assumption that his trainer would wish to continue as it would be easy to take this kid out.
Corelle hopped down from the tree branch to land beside Septie, he probably wouldn't have noticed the dragon pokemon ready to attack again had his eye not sensed the strong heat emanating from its throat and mouth. He moved quickly over the solid ground, hoping over the cracks in the pathways. "Flygon, that's enough." He said firmly, but his voice wasn't very loud. He glanced at the young trainer a moment and then back at Flygon who has ceased to form the flame for its attack. Corelle would prefer that they took their leave before that boy took any interest in the collar which was theoretically withing reach of jumping. "No need to shout," He said softly but still audibly to the other trainer to whom he now spoke. "You're doing... well." He smirked a little. Well, Alex was doing well as far as he knew Corelle supposed. He took out a pokeball and silently returned Septie before beckoning flygon over to him. The pokemon obeyed and landed carefully where Corelle gestured that it was safe and let its trainer get back on, the grunt clearly had no intention to listening to any question, concern or comment that may have been made in response to what he had said.
Corelle and Flygon returned to the spot where they had been before, it was one of the spots where several paths intertwined and made the area on which they could stand much bigger. The Tranqua grunt pulled himself higher on flygon's back, folding his arms to lean on its head with it antennas sticking through the spaces to be on either side of his neck. The pokemon looked somewhat unimpressed by this but did not complain and simply squatted somewhat to make itself a little more comfortable as well as they waited.

| Alex shifted looking slightly confused, he hunched his shoulders and then looked at his Liceaperd. "Come on were going the wrong way... If you go where I tell you to go you will have a good fight on your hands... a worthy challenger of your skill..." Liceaperd... ears perked up, he was listening to this so called challenge. He smirked, "Ok then Liceaperd this wway..."
He pointed towards the end, and Alex hopped on his back. The ice pokemon then began to dash his way forward each step freezing everything he touched. Liceaperd and Zepheon raced gracefully to the finish there reflexes being divine when dodging on coming tree braches, and the grimer and muk they would have to face.

| Corelle smirked, his eye giving him a mental picture of the somewhat accurate movements of heat on the map. He knew which one Alex was, for one because he was moving the quickest and also because his was very cold. They certainly were making progress... Sort of, they might have done better simply following the liceaperd's random path. Corelle slid back down again and put his arms around flygon's neck. "Okay flygon, earthquake." He said, tightening his hold on the pokemon slightly as it lifted off the ground some ways and landed heavily again, its feet and tail smashing against the unsolid ground and then quickly took off again so not to end up falling into the sludge. They stayed in the air for a few moments, simply watching. The quake had caused the ground under trees to crack and sent them toppling over, the movements causing volleys of nets to shoot out. he ones which passed Corelle didn't open because of the collar on flygon. "Fly a bit lower now." He commanded and waited until they were a few feet from the sludge before telling the pokemon the stop. "Now use fire blast and heat the sludge." He said. Yet another spectacular coordinator attack shot into the sludge, making some spray up at them reminding Corelle that he'd really have to shower after this. The stench seemed to get worse, taking on a sort of burning smell as the sludge became hot. It was practically boiling when flygon finally stopped, seeming somewhat exhausted from the continuous attack. "lets go, we'll wait and see if anyone makes it now." Flygon took off again, a little sluggishly at first, and made its way back to the large pond. The shore of the pond rose out of the sludge and was grassy, aside from the muddy foot prints that were Corelle's. When they landed he slid off the pokemon's back and sat down by the egde with flygon sitting beside him.
Septie's ear pricked up as the the ground began to shake and it quickly moved over to one of the devices in the bushes which shot the nets, standing behind it and waiting. As soon as the shaking stopped he hopped onto on of the fallen trees, knowing that the sludge would get too hot for him to stand in now. The change in its smell confirmed that and he began making his way across the tree trunks towards the 'finish' where he was pretty sure Corelle was. It seemed not many of these people understood their standards for trust, many were only making their way to a certain doom.

| The ice began to melt, and Liceaperd became agitated in the increase in temperature. He rawred and then began hopping from tree to tree instead of walking on the sludge. This made it difficult for Alex to hold on. but they would make due, Zepheon created a whirlwind to push the toxic out of the way, and this helped Liceaperd freeze it over a lot more eazier. This only slowed them down, this did not stop them. | |

| Septie could see Alex among a few other trainers across the sea of fallen trees bobbing in the toxic lake. The trainers who were left seemed to be doing well jumping on tree trunks, at least they were catching on more quickly. At least they all seemed to be able to adapt to the sudden changes, but none really knew where they were headed... Mostly only those with scarring pasts or who were very smart often made it through directly to the finish, or those who found Corelle succeeded with strong pokemon. He slowed as he came to where the trees thickened again, concealing the 'finish'. Sometimes it took that to tip them off, sometimes they only continued. Corelle probably wouldn't care what happened to them if they were only going to try to get the where he was, but Septie chose to hold off on affecting the environment any farther until he'd reached his trainer.
Corelle was now laying on his back with his arms out on either side of him and his knees together but feet about hips width apart. His eyes were closed and he looked like he could have been asleep. Flygon still sat beside him, looking rather bored. The dragon pokemon seemed to straighten up somewhat as it noticed Septie approaching and then stood up, prodding Corelle rather roughly with its tail. He grunted irritably and sat up, watching as Septie hopped over to him. "So I take it there are few left now?" He inquired. The pokemon nodded in response and Corelle turned to flygon, giving a slight inclination of his head. The flygon took off and as soon as it had Septie used rain dance. The water came down heavily and the sludge got deeper so the trees bobbed more freely and the bark was slippery. Flygon flew through the rain, letting out loud cries every now and then, clearly not being stealthy anymore.

| Alex, grew angry with the rain, it was a worst case scenario for him. He found a safe patch of land and took a rest. "Liceaperd return..." He plopped down and took a deep breath. "Vaporeon I choose you, I need you to use Acid armor and dive into the poison to see which paths are solid and which are not, since its raining you should be able to break down your molecular structure and with safeguard in affect we have nothing to fear..." Vaporeon jumped into the poison, and Alex followed his blast of water into the air. The nets of course would shoot the water, but this would do them no good since it was only water. Vaporeon and Zepheon both worked well together as they scanned the area. They came to a stop when they looked at a thicket of trees and plants were. They had raced towards and Zepheon blew the plant life away clearing the path and making it perfectly visible. Vaporeon jumped out of the water and landed gracefully knocking the gunk of its body. "Looks like we made it..." | |

| Corelle stood up, once you were in the trees it wasn't hard to see the clearing at the end and from the clearing you could generally see who was in the trees. "You have made it if this is where you are going, and now that you're here I suggest you hurry up." Septie walked up to stand farther inside the tree, for once not looking angry and smirking at Alex... In fact, the pokemon looked somewhat amused. There wasn't actually that much space between the edge of the trees and the clearing. The vines that were Septie's arm stretched longer, and shot towards Alex to wrap themselves around his wrist and give him a firm tug forwards and slipping off to retreat just as quickly as the pokemon gave a soft hiss. There was a loud groan from behind Corelle, coming from the pond, sounding rather impatient. He looked back over his shoulder and hushed it gently. "It's alright sweetie, he's coming." He murmured, his voice certainly too soft for anyone but the pokemon. | |

| The ground rumbled and the pond behind Corelle let out a loud moan. "Muuuuuk" Corelle looked at Alex and put a hand on his hip. "Your skills as a trainer are admirable for your age, however you ought to be careful who you trust. You're an outsider, I'm not really on your side yet so why would you listen to why I told you. Hmmm?" He inquired with a smirk as the muk rose from the pool with another groan. The thing was enormous about the size of a small house. A lump of sludge which appeared to be the pokemon's hand came down beside Corelle. The grunt glanced back at it, unable to suppress a rather warm smile. It faded quite abruptly as he turned back to Alex, Septie hissed again beside him. | |

| "So its a fight you want...." He removed his eye patch... "I had been holding back..." His eye possesed the ability to see aura, and how it flowed through out the planet. He could see the poison from the land but he wanted to be fair... "Zepheon use Tailwind..." Zepheon whipped up a Tail wind and the winds were strong enough to push Alex and Zepheon in the opposite direction with incredible speed. "Meteki your up use Mean Look!" Alex was hidden riding on the tail wind that now trapped The Muk, Septie and Corelle. | |

| Corelle watched as the younger boy pulled off his eye patch, commanding flygon to fly out of the way as he did so. The dragon pokemon was successfully away from the tail wind but simply remained in the air waiting patiently for another command. Corelle raised his arm to cover his face from his hair, narrowing his eyes. "Muk, use protect." He commanded the colossal pokemon behind him, negating the effect of the mean look. He looked up at flygon, the pokemon was certainly getting a workout in comparison to what it normally did in battles... which was sit there and not really do anything, if it wasn't in its pokeball that is. "Flygon, go after them and use hyperbeam. Stay terrain shook as the muk threw itself against the ground behind Corelle, almost knocking Corelle over. Even if the pokemon didn't know the move earthquake, his own body mass seemed to have about mastered it. The tranqua grunt turned back to it.[b] "Easy." He said, frowning a little. Septie was several steps ahead of Corelle, pulling itself forwards with the vines from its arms wrapped around the branch of a tree. The long tentacle like extensions pulsed visibly with the effort, he wasn't making bad time though. Muk dragged itself out of the pool, almost leaving it dry. The tail wind even effected it too much, muk was after all a slow pokemon to begin with. | |

| "Meteki use Psyshock! then follow up with Psycho cut!" The pokemon then jumped up and its body flew in a motion as it were doing a flamewheel only this move was Psycho cut, while it was spinning it sent out psychic bolts that would fly in multiple directions. He tackled into the Muk head on...
Zepheon use rain dance! Zepheon shot a blue beam into the air. It then began to rain heavily.
