Backstory: Ibrixses was born out of a brief affair between Elza and her first true "love", Ein. Her father was described as being long in ambition but short on emotions, he is likely the one who taught Elza to be the same in that regard denying Ibrixses love, care, and comfort as a child. In her youth she lived in Dusk City with her good childhood friend, Reox. Throughout most of it she teased him claiming an attraction to his older brother Ren though she thought well of Reox sharing a great admiration and attraction for him. They shared this attraction as well as a growing rivalry as they grew up. Because of Ibrixses ambition and competitive nature this actually didn't strain but strengthened their bond. Reox, being a year older then her, left to go on his journey with Pokemon and returned EXACTLY a year later to present Ibrixses with her first Pokemon. This seemed to concrete the bond between them and even to this day she feels a particularly strong bond with the Pokemon he gave her. They married young and in Ibrixses mind it was the "biggest mistake of her life" because despite their original closeness ultimately the rivalry between them began to move them further apart placing a chasm of inferiority and anger between Ibrixses and Reox. With her ambitions stalled and stopped despite her efforts and hard work she was easily angered by Reox's easy leisurely pace as a trainer as well as other habits he brought into the marriage to frustrated her. Because of her hard work and endurance her predecessor, the former Gym Leader of Azhure Point, entrusted her with inheriting the Gym Leadership. Believing this was a great way to get the experience she wanted and the ideal life she lacked with Reox, she agreed much to his anger. With the both of them in a fight Ibrixses took a walk and left the relationship only to come back to demand a divorce, a divorce Reox instantly denied her to her fury. She had a child out of their relationship which she relinquished custody over to Reox hoping it would get him to agree to release her from the marriage instead it served to infuriate Reox that Ibrixses had kept their child's existence secret as a form of "trump card". This angered her since Ibrixses is not a cruel mother and knew that Reox was a better suited parent to her young child as evident from the fact she allowed him to have custody WITHOUT allowing the divorce. Ibrixses to this day challenges Reox to battles to dispute him for this, often placing the outcome of a Pokemon battle with whether she gets what she wants or not. Ibrixses isn't the kind to take loss well but she still loves Reox which is obvious to her Pokemon who are closest to her.
