Getting his Second Badge!

Alex pushed open the Gym doors. Taking his first steps inside he had no idea what to expect. The Lights were off, and he could not see anything. "I have come here to challenge the Warf Town Gym!" He looked around, in slight amazement, unsure if he was ready. He then looked at his Zepheon, "We can do it eh Rocker" Rocker nodded and smirked, as he hovered around the area.

A smile tugged at the young woman's lips at hearing the nosy challenge as it echoed throughout her humble gym. Pushing herself to a stand, she slipped through door of a hidden passageway, who knows why it was installed, and clapped. Instantly the light fixtures flickered on. "Heh, sorry about that kid. I tend to take plenty of naps. So, you have come to battle the second gym leader? Good, maybe this dump will liven up once we get started." Nozomi chimed as she flashed a toothy grin to the male across the way.


"The name is Nozomi, and I will be your designated gym leader this fine, yet boring, day. The rules are simple. Three pokemon of your choosing, but you better be careful. Things can jump out at you from nowhere. The air, the water, the floors....just be very careful." The young leader warned with a friendly wink of the eye. She made her way over to the large pool that she had recently installed. "I hope you don't mind. My friends tend to favor the water above all else..." She said cooly, waiting to hear what the male had to say.

Alex chuckled "Good being elusive is what me and Rocker do best" Zepheon then stepped out onto the field and chuckled. "Zeph Zeph Pheon" Alex then took his spot. "So lets get this over with shall we, I would rather prefer to take you seriously, but you might be all talk and no action"

The young gym leader raised an arm and scratched the back of her head. "Heh, you may be right. You are actually the first kid I have battled. I'm sort of new here. I'll be rooting for ya!" Nozomi laughed tilting her head to the side revealing two blue-green eyes hidden under blue bangs. "Bubby? Where are you hiding...?" She turned and faced the clear pool.

Moments later, a medium sized seahorse-type pokemon poked its head out of the water. His red eyes gleamed at the sight of its opponent. "Doo-wah!" He spouted, readying himself for what seemed to be a long-awaited fight.

Alex looked at the water in amazement. "Wow I have never even seen that pokemon before, I hope your ready for this Rocker" He then looked at it "Ok it is a water type for sure, so we should be able to take this guy down no problem." He then took off his eye patch and the jubilee of colors in his eyes shined brightly as he began to record his data on the pokemon.

Zepheon then flew above the center of the arena and waited. "Zeph!"
Alex pinted "Ok Rocker lets start it up, go and use quick attack"
Zepheon Obeyed and dashed off, as he then slammed his paws into the water making a huge splash, he was hoping to be slightly accurate, but the water made that hard.

"Looks can definitely be deceiving my young friend!" Nozomi grinned at hearing Alex's immediate reaction to her Kingdra. Sure it looked as if it were a mere water-type but it was more than that. It was also a dragon!


"Bubby, dive under the water to dodge the attack. Then resurface to use Aurora Beam!" The smile that had painted her face was now gone. It had been replaced by a rather stern expression. The pokemon did as it was told dipping its slender body underneath the waves that the zepheon had created. As soon as it felt enough time had passed, it shot up out of the water and a stream of multi-colored lights came from its mouth which was aimed at the opponent's pokemon.

Zepheon flew back, the attack was super effective doin serious damage. "wow I did not see that coming at all" "Ok a dragon reduces the amount of electric moves do on dragons....darn it this means Zepheon will have to try a different approach, we don't have the type advantage but speed is on our side...." "Ok Rocker lets get in the with Air Slash!"

Zepheon obeyed, and then shot a blast of air in the water aimed at Kingdra, at the same time he kept his distance, being sure to not let his opponent hit him with the same move twice.

Jet walked to the gym Shadow floating beside her. She entered seeing someone was already battling. She walked to the benchers and sat down watching closely. Shadow floated to the left of her examining the batlle.

Jet decided to leave. She stood up and left with Shadow following her.
