Backstory: Her family has been in Blackthorn City for many generations. Mikani was raised by her father, Malikin, and step-mother, Emalia. The only time she could spend with her father was during her dragon training. When she did something wrong she got scolded and her father burned into her mind ‘A dragon master cannot make mistakes. Mistakes show weakness.’ At the tender age of eight her father and step mother were killed by a shadow Salamance. Her father's Dragonite saved her only after she got clawed deeply on her right arm and Dragonite recieved an identical deep claw wound on her back. She was forced to take over being the gym leader in Blackthorn City. She barely saw her step-brother, Dimetri, who was on a journey to learn about all of the different water type pokemon. When she was sixteen her step-brother passed away due to a rock climbing accident. Her sister-in-law Claire would always find ways to make Mikani look unfit to be a dragon master gym leader. She traveled to Terra to spend sometime away from her sad past. She is offered to be a gym leader in Seasel Town by the elite four for helpping clean up the shadow pokemon mess. Here she is hoping to find her true self and seek closure on the wounds she has suffered with from her parent's death. She meets some great friends like Professor Maple and finds out she has a whole other family.
