"He said that Pokemon are weakest in their pre-evolved forms and that starting with Larvitar was a horrible choice because he is super weak to the most common of types like grass and water."

Calix sounded upset, not so much cause she think she chose the wrong partner but rather because it had been an insult of sorts.

"Hmmm thats not all true though" Reox said softly "Did you know that if you evovle your pokemon early that it takes them a lot longer to learn special moves?" He said "Theres strengths and weaknsesses to evolving and not evolving your pokemon wether you do evolve them is up to you anjd your pokemon no one else, dsont let anyone elses descisions affect your judgment and how you feel here" He said a she poked her chest where her heart was.

"Your Father is right on that, he and I don't always agree on all points but evolving a Pokemon doesn't necessarily mean they could not overcome barriers such as type disadvantages and evolutionary barriers. My Sneasel has evolved but during its time in its first stage of development Sneasel had the opportunity to face and defeat its own evolution. Whether you evolve them or not the most important thing about training Pokemon is your bond with them. Nothing else matters truly but what growth and development is between the Pokemon and the trainer, if you have that you can beat anything and anyone no matter what the odds."

Reox was a lot more quick to praise then she tended to be, she knew as a Gym Leader she was definitely critical and she wondered if she wasn't a worse hurdle to weather then Reox in that department. Curiously she wondered how Sneasel was doing under Calix's care but she didn't bother to ask. She simply finished her food and rose from the table to take a walk, "Please excuse me."

Reox blinked as she stood "...Alright" he said; they had her pokemon so he doubted she;d be running away anywhere, eventually Reox left his food and let Ren give Calix some last minut pointeres as he hasd dome fresh air.

Larvitar was FINE with that, it clambered onto the table and started snacking on Reox's leftovers which was the entire plat of food. Larvitar was still super spoiled as Calix's starter.

Oh no she wouldn't leave without her Pokemon but she was definitely preoccupied about what happened to them. She didn't think they were being mistreated in the care of Reox and Ren but it would be assuring to know just what was going on with them but she was almost reluctant to ask.

"There fine" Reox spoke aloud as he watched Ibrixses pace "Your pokemon I mean they're ins afe hands" he said softly.

She was surprised and yet not that he knew her unease, she hadn't really expect them to let her keep her Pokemon especially considering the last time she was conscious but she hadn't expected them to take them from her either, "It feels odd not to have them on my person....."

It wasn't a lie, it did feel extremely strange, at this point she just wanted to have them back to have them back rather then to use them really.

"You'll get them backsoon enough...its not like I can keep you here forever" He said simply before he tossed her a pokeball; it had Weavile in it "Just in case you run into a bad tempered pokemon" He said softly with a weak smile.

"When is soon enough? With all due respect I cannot just neglect Azhure Point for good, and my Pokemon SHARE that responsibility with me."

Her voice was soft but brought up her point in a strong fashion, she worded her tone carefully being a good far ways around her mother did wonders to not make her so guarded in how she held herself, and she didn't want to make Reox hurt even more then she and him both made himself.

She was starting to think that maybe Reox had been right, undeniably she cared about Reox and Calix enough to sever them from her and Tranqua and her mother but Reox was right, she thought a lot about herself. She hadn't thought much about Calix's journey or even her first Gym Battle, she just thought her daughter was too young and was waiting for her time to get going again, "Right, of course."

She glanced down, she didn't even bother to express relief at that because there was little. She knew she had to do her responsibilties as both a Gym Leader and as a member of Tranqua, so she didn't have the luxury to let him keep her around OR encourage her to stay around, "I am afraid not."

Reox just nodded he expected that answer as he pushed off the wall and cracke dhis neck "Well It canlt be helped, you do what you have to....but dont expect to stay with Tranqua for long" He said befor ehe cupped her cheek and made her look up "...whats with the worry in your eyes? I havent seen that in a while" He said softly.

She glanced at him, it had surprised her because she had thought he'd been leaving not coming closer. She didn't lie though and she probably surprised Reox when she placed her hands on him and felt his chest, "You know, you fill out your musculature a lot better if you eat with your exercise. I don't have to see what I can feel but I saw it just fine with my own two eyes this morning."

"Wide awake," she grabbed the tiny mirror that she had on her person and snapped it open revealing how she had held it at an angle to see quite a bit and still be able to keep him from seeing a thing from her, "You ate well enough when we were together, every night and everything on your plate if I recall correctly."

Denying yourself what your body needs IS self mutilation," she gave him a serious look, "I didn't expect this out of you, there was no doubt in my mind when Calix went to live with you you'd take care of her but what of yourself? How can you take care of her and not take care of yourself when you are the pillar of love and support she leans on almost constantly? Hmmm?"

"..." Reox stared hat her and cgave a soft bitter laugh "How can I take care of myself when MY piller of support turned around and walked out on me?" He asked softly "Its like Im stuck with a hole in my chest and nothing can fill it" He said softly "...I am taking care of her and myself...Im still alive arent I? I'm not about to die and leave Calix fatherless" He said softly; before Calix had arrived it was a diffrent story, several tiems Reox had been rushed to hospital for strangulation or overdoses on pills; he sunk so low he;d wanted to die back then; but Ibrixses didnt know, no one really knew other then Ren, his older brother had done all he could to keep his near deaths a secret.

Ibrixses gave him an steely glance, and she knew that once again she'd made a mistake. She was still convinced that her path had not been wrong yet but that she had did it the wrong way. Severing Reox and Calix from her had been a near success for all these years only for her to fail now and realize her mistakes. She had harmed him deeply in more ways then one in a manner she had never meant to. She didn't know if this was the worse of it or if it was only skimming the surface but it made her tread all the more carefully then before. She couldn't let him down with a hard and callous heart though because it would likely be a worse fate at her hands then he'd suffer at Tranqua's hands.
