And return they did, or at least, REN did he decided for the sake of the Aides feelings to let him sleep in while he confronted Maple about the scientist. "Good morning" He said as he stepped in and handed her a cup of coffee.

She actually accepted it and for all things considered she appeared in a good mood. She was relaxed and calm, "Morning....," her eyes darted to see if the Aide had trailed on his heels for this visit too. She was gratified to see he hadn't when she looked at Ren matter-of-factly, "I'm going to be to the point if you'll allow me to. Take him back, I've talked to the League, they are rescinding his orders of transfer and they are going to use him elsewhere. I'll be frank I would sooner have you be my lab aide than that fan boy you call a scientist so its pointless to try to push it on me."

Ren blinked at that before his face slit into a wide smile "Ohh really? If that's the way you feel i;d HAPPILY taken you up on that offer" He said casually, almost TOO casually; Maple had slipped up BIG TIME and she didn't even realize it yet; Ren made a mental note to buy Ibrixses the biggest bunch of white roses she;d ever seen in her life as thanks; it was all going as planned! Ren just grinned and sipped his coffee as he waited for it for sink into maple shes more or less OFFERED him to be her aide!

It didn't sink in, for Maple it had been a comparison to show her distaste not to OFFER Ren a new job.

"Oh? It didn't sound that way to me!" He said with an innocent smile but he had a hint of deviousness "Besides you need an assistant...and I dont have much todo right now" He said with a smirk.

"You don't have a BIT of scientific credentials, Ren. What use would you be to MY research? If you need a task I gave you one yesterday. You can take that guy back to the League. They've got an assignment for him."

Ren raised an eyebrow at that "Thats where your wrong" He said with a chuckle; Maple didnt know much of his education background, but he happened to be very good in the felids of pokemon science specifically DNA and eveolution reserch.

For some reason when he announced she was wrong, she instantly felt cornered like she had overlooked a crucial detail. She couldn't look at someone's personal info and educational backgrounds unless the League released it to her. She had assumed that since Ren had never once mentioned any sort of past beyond being the Dusk City Gym Leader that it was all that his past contained. She was not slight afraid that Ren would give them the ok to release his records to her and shortly after that, that she'd EAT her words.

Indeed she would; Markus when eh disappeared had left him, Reox and his twin Rei a large amount of fund with which to spend on doing whatever they were passionate about; all three of them were pokemon mad of course but Ren had always been fascinated by how Pokemon grew and developed and how they evolved, he went to university to do a masters degree, on Pokemon DNA, growth and evolution, in between being a gym leader; he was more than qualified to be a scientist, he just happened to be an elite four member more; however that didn't mean he wouldn't exploit his degree to get what he wanted; namely Maple herself.

She didn't like how he was looking at her, she knew at best he was pursuing her and she had to outlast him in that regard but she was waiting for him to respond. She didn't dare make a move or assumption after that pitfall he just unleashed upon her.

Ren just grinned "Ask the Leaauge and see Im sure they;ll be MORE than happy to let me work with you, saves me from doing nothing and being bored" He cooed still grinning behind his coffee.

"I'm not asking them for your records," she said desperately backing out now as she thought to herself, SHIT he did have something, something enough he felt more than worthy of applying for the position I STUPIDLY offered him on a silver platter.

"Oh okay here you go then" He said a she pulled out a manila folder from his jacket and put it on her desk; the sneaky bastard had already asked for his records just KNOWING shes refuse to ask for them XD "Take a look" He said with a wide smile.

She was trapped, she would TOTALLY be accused of loosing her nerve and rejecting Ren had consequences. If she reject two possible people in less than a day's time they could just say she was being impossible and push her with someone she didn't like, competent or not. She hadn't expected to really HIRE him but here it was staring her in the face. She didn't want the alternative and she knew it was true she'd sooner take him than the other guy. She pushed the folder back into a closed position again and she swallowed softly, it was down to this: Ren or losing any sembelence of control over her relationship with the Pokemon League, "Alright....," she said softly wanting badly to slam her coffee cup against the table the records were on but she managed to keep her poise. If she allowed him to get the better of her at the beginning there is no way she'd be able to hold out in the end and she planned to!

Ren resisted the urge to shoot and punch the air but he tried to keep his reaction nonchalant as possible "Excellent, Ill start work tomorrow if you like" He cooed he knew shes need some time to get used to the fact he;d been working with her, days in day out for an indefinite period of time.

"You can start however fast you can get the League to agree to this," oh she KNEW the League would drag their heels, they disliked the thought of their Elite Four taking jobs on the side and hers demanded a lot of attention. She hoped that in making him apply for the position personally would make the proceedings take LONGER to be okayed, "I just have to keep him busy. If Ren is too busy he can't be bothering me."

"I can get them to agree within a week" He stated as a fact as he smiled; the leauge wouldnt like ti but with all the panic with Dodge city and the dissapearance of his brother from DUsk City NO ONE was applying to try and challange the Elite four anyway.

She was relieved to here that, a week of free time she had to concentrate free of his........distraction. She planned to use every opportunity avoiding dates and getting her work done.

Ren nodded "Ill talk to them when i get back to the centre and explain it to them" He said with a smile; he might have said a week but knowing Ren he could have it approved even quicker than that if possible.

Ren chuckeld softly at that "Alright, later" he said he had the gall to kiss her cheek before he turned and left, he practically SKIPPED out of the door.

After that kiss on the cheek her face went red probably in embarrassment or upset and fled to try to get work done after this turn of events.

+Ren took the Aid to the ferry and sent him to where the league wanted him to go, before he had a three our argument/discussion with the league about being Maples assistant, reluctantly they agreed and sent forms over for Rent o fill out, it would take a day or so to process but Are you be working for her sooner than she thought he would.
