"Wait for it, wait for it, NOW!" Gyarados surged forward clamping its massive jaw on Salamence with an Ice Fang attack. It twisted with its captive prey and dropped Salamence into the pool of water, "Thunderbolt, Go!"

Gyarados released a thunderbolt into the water where it had just dropped his foe.

Mikani falls onto her hands and knees as she feels the pain that Salamence feels from the ice fang and thunderbolt attack. She clenches her teeth together to stop herself from screaming in pain. She looks up, her breathing labored, to see Salamence knocked out cold floating on the water's surface. Weakly she holds up Salamence's pokeball and calls him back. She looks at it and whispers softly, "You did well. I'm proud of you for trying." She looks at Maple and says, after she takes the pain killing tablet out of her mouth, "Well, now I know that I won't suffer much if Salamence gets hurt." She sees the discouraged look on Maple's face. "What my pokemon feel, I feel with a bond like this or not. I don't want them to be the only one to suffer."

Maple blinked in surprise, "Uh Gyarados maybe we overdid it a bit," she knew that Gyarados couldn't totally be at blame it had been so long since it had been able to battle which it enjoyed throughly, "Return. I apologize, Mikani. If there is anything I can do to help you and Salamence name it. I didn't mean for it to go that far," she uttered apologetically.

Mikani stood up and wobbled a little. She says, "It is okay. You helping me purify Salamence is helping me in a big way. You are my friend. I would feel bad if I asked for anything more than what I already have." She looks at Maple and smiles. "I'm always willing to help you anyway I can." She places her hand on Dragonite's pokeball on her choker. "So are my pokemon."

"Hey I have an idea!" Professor Krane joined them, "Northeast of here there is a village called Agate. There they have many elders that know quite a bit about purification. We learned a majority of what we know from the residents in Agate. Perhaps you would have much to gain from going there and asking them questions pertaining to your quest."

"That sounds like a wonderful idea," Maple smiled.

"Alright. I'll head out there now." She unhooks Dragonite's pokeball from her choker and releases Dragonite. She takes a step over toward Dragonite and nearly falls onto her face if Dragonite hadn't caught her. She moves slowly toward Dragonite and climbs upon her back. Mikani looks at Maple and asks, "Is there anything you need me to do while I'm there?"

"Yes, I would like you to study Agate Village's Relic Stone."

"It was the pillar LITERALLY that culminated in the creation and success of the Purification Chamber, " Krane mentioned to Mikani.

"Alright." Dragonite walks out of the lab with Mikani on her back. She flaps her wings and soars into the air, heading northeast to the town called Agate.
